Master Alex started his Martial Arts journey at the age of 6. His mother enrolled him in an after school program offering Kuk Sool Hapkido. Shortly after, he moved to Canada where he started his training under Chief Master Ivan Bergeron.
Growing up, he frequently travelled across Ontario to attended seminars and Martial Arts Competitions. Alex won several Grand Championships in regional Sport Karate competitions. During this time, he was exposed to some of the best Martial Arts training available in Canada. Alex spent his summers at the Korean Martial Arts Centre (Canada) headquarters to help refine the curriculum and promote the growth of Hapkido.
Upon moving to California, Alex attended SJSU and obtained his Bachelors in Finance. While balancing a successful career in banking and starting a family, he continued his passion for Martial Arts. Over the years, he has collaborated with several Masters to help grow their schools and promote Hapkido. He was also a member of the USH Fight Team and has a kickboxing record of 11-3.
In 2024 Master Alex and KMAC travelled to South Korea to compete in the Hanminjok Hapkido World Championships. Each competitor became a World Champions in their respective division and the team placed in 14 out of 15 events. Master Alex also came out of retirement to win the Master Class division against 14 Masters from around the globe.
In 2025 he was appointed as Co-Director of Digital Strategies and Operations for the World Kido Federation. Working directly with the President, Grandmaster Steve, he is tasked to promote and endorse the positive attributes Hapkido can bring to those who train.

Master Ivan is a pioneer for Martial Arts in Canada. He has been studying Hapkido for over 60 years and has been a leader in preserving it's heritage while evolving it to meet our current world. He is the direct instructor of Master Alex.
Grandmaster

Grandmaster Seo is one of the founders of Kuk Sool Hapkido. He brought the Martial Art to prominence when he was invited to perform for the Korean government on National TV. He is the current Chairman of the World KIDO Federation.

Grandmaster Pak was one of the first Masters to share Kuk Sool Hapkido outside of Korea. His journey started in Germany then he emigrated to Canada. Always a student, he strived to perfect the Martial Art. He is the direct instructor of Master Ivan.

Steve Seo
GM Steve Seo is the youngest son of Grandmaster In Sun Seo. In 2024, he was appointed as the President of the World Kido Federation and has committed to preserving our martial art while expanding its global reach beyond Korea.
