Master Alex started his Martial Arts journey at the age of 6. His mother enrolled him in an after school program offering Kuk Sool Hapkido. Shortly after, he moved to Canada where he started his training under Chief Master Ivan Bergeron.
Growing up, he frequently travelled across Ontario to attended seminars and Martial Arts Competitions. Alex won several Grand Championships in regional Sport Karate competitions. During this time, he was exposed to some of the best Martial Arts training available in Canada. Alex spent his summers at the Korean Martial Arts Centre (Canada) headquarters to help refine the curriculum and promote the growth of Hapkido.
Upon moving to California, Alex attended SJSU and obtained his Bachelors in Finance. While balancing a successful career in banking and starting a family, he continued his passion for Martial Arts. Over the years, he has collaborated with several Masters to help grow their schools and promote Hapkido. He was also a member of the USH Fight Team and has a kickboxing record of 11-3.

In 2024 Master Alex and KMAC travelled to South Korea to compete in the Hanminjok Hapkido World Championships. Each competitor became a World Champions in their respective division and the team placed in 14 out of 15 events. Master Alex also came out of retirement to win the Master Class division against 14 Masters from around the globe.

In 2025 he was appointed as Co-Director of Digital Strategies and Operations for the World Kido Federation. Working directly with the President, Grandmaster Steve, he is tasked to promote and endorse the positive attributes Hapkido can bring to those who train.
